PIERRE SARRAF | Producer
 

Pierre Sarraf is one of the founding partners of “né à Beyrouth”, the Beirut-based film development and production company.

Born in Beirut in 1975, Pierre grew up in a city divided by civil war. In 1990, he immigrated to Italy, France then Canada to study Biochemistry and Business Management (MBA). After a few years of professional experience, he returned to Beirut in 2003 to set up “né à Beyrouth Films” which develop, co-produce and line produce feature films and Documentaries. To date, Pierre was involved in the production of 12 feature films, 8 shorts films and 6 documentaries. Among his last completed features as co-producer are “Insyriated” (Audience Award at the Berlinale 2017) , “Capernaum” (Jury Prize at Cannes Film Festival 2018 and nominated by the Academy of Motion Pictures in the Best Foreign Film category in 2019), “Co-Pilot” (Berlinale Selection 2021).

On the industry level, “né à Beyrouth” plays a major role in fostering the film industry in Lebanon by producing the Lebanese Film Festival in Beirut since 2001, serving on the board of the Fondation Liban Cinema since 2016.
